Contemporary Garden

The brief was simply to create a minimalistic space but also an environment safe for a child to crawl and play. This long sloping garden was to be designed without any steps so that a pushchair could easily be manoeuvred to and from the side door. The garden predominantly uses three surfaces. A hardwood deck, textured paving to prevent slipping and a grass area for playing. Raised beds were positioned in this garden to break up this large space and a trellis screen behind one bed hides a storage area.
