Romantic Garden

The brief was to create an easily maintained garden but not low maintenance as the client was keen to spend time nurturing the plants. The design of the back garden was to include a reasonable size pond with a captivating water feature. The client initially wanted a stream flowing through the garden but to keep inside their budget this was not feasible. Therefore to overcome this, and not wanting to disappoint our client, we created a sweeping blue slate path to represent a stream.

One of the most important aspects of the design was for the clients to have a reasonable amount of privacy from the neighbours. This was predominantly achieved by the use of trees and bamboos planted to produce screening for the desired areas. At the end of the construction the client also decided that they would like us to maintain their garden at times throughout the year to keep it looking at its best.

This garden was completed 3 years ago. The most recent images show how it has developed into an established outdoor living space.
