Batello approaches garden design as a living process, not a fixed outcome. The best gardens are shaped over time through thoughtful decisions, good planting and an understanding of how a place naturally wants to grow.
Some clients need a full design; others want planting advice or a second opinion. Batello loves to work with people who value good plants, considered choices and gardens that improve year on year.
Garden Design Consultation & Scaled Plan
A focused starting point for clients who want clarity and professional direction.
This service includes up to two hours on site, walking the garden together and discussing layout, flow, planting structure and key materials. A clear design direction is agreed during the visit and developed into a scaled 2D garden plan, supplied as a PDF.
Ideal for small gardens, early-stage projects, or clients who want a workable plan without committing to a full design package.
All small and medium gardens £295.
Garden Design & Layout
Initially we would create a brief based on your requirements and conduct a full site survey and analysis, this leads into the design package.Each design package consists of three concept plans, material ideas, 3D drawings and a final design (to scale), with a plant list.
(A survey may be required on larger sites.)
Planting Plans (optional add-on)
Planting is at the heart of Batello’s work. Planting design is offered as a separate specialist stage once the layout is agreed.
Planting plans are tailored to soil, light, scale and long-term performance, focusing on structure, seasonal interest and longevity rather than short-term impact.
Plant Care Guide - Living with the Garden
For those who enjoy gardening but want reassurance and direction.
Batello can create a clear, practical guide on plant care, pruning and seasonal decisions — helping the garden mature naturally rather than being constantly reworked.

Implementation & Next Steps
You’re welcome to use your design independently, whether you’re tackling the garden yourself or working in stages over time. If useful, Batello can support plant sourcing, planting and implementation, or introduce trusted collaborator Kevin Bale for small-scale construction work. There’s no pressure to continue beyond any stage — each element is designed to stand comfortably on its own.
