Micro-Nursery
The Batello micro-nursery is a small, hands-on growing space that reflects how I work – practical, plant focused and on a human scale.
It’s based around backyard growing rather than commercial production. I grow and hold small batches of plants that I use regularly in my own planting schemes, alongside plants I’m trialling for future projects. This gives me a better understanding of how plants behave over time, how they grow, how tough they are, and where they really work best.
Not everything is grown from scratch. Some plants are grown on, others are sourced from specialist nurseries I trust, but everything passes through my hands and my judgement before it goes into a garden.
The micro-nursery supports my planting design, soft landscaping and garden coaching work. It allows me to be more flexible with plant choice and to help clients improve borders, refresh planting, or finish off newly landscaped gardens properly.
It’s deliberately small and practical. The nursery supports the way I work, keeps me hands-on with plants, and helps me make better planting decisions in real gardens, always focused on the right plant in the right place.
