Coastal Terrace Garden
This tricky coastal terraced garden in Portishead was completed in the spring of 2018. Features within the garden include block on render retaining walls, a slate paving terrace area with removable rope fencing and a wave water feature chosen by the client.
The brief for this garden was 'Ultra Minimal Maintenance' being a coastal site we decided to plant something a little bit different and use the silver New Zealand grass Astelia 'Silver Spear''. The top terrace includes a summerhouse with decking along the front so that the client can sit and enjoy the coast beyond. Adjacent to this is a sleeper raised bed for growing vegetables and cut flowers.
