Cottage Garden
The clients brief for this garden was to create a cottage garden to complement the 150 year old stone built property. We used old Colchester clay pavers around the paths of the garden as well as the walls of the raised beds. This product does not get damaged by frost like ordinary bricks and therefore will last longer.
Within this garden there is a pergola, an archway, an area for seating and a new lawn edged in block pavers. Edging the lawn in this way keeps strimming to a minimum. The cottage style of planting we implemented is to plant individual perennials with a mix of evergreens for winter interest.
The perennials in this space are a real mix of colours and textures throughout the spring summer and autumn months.
